The Lady Cannoneers Lose at home and Win Away in Opening Week

On Wednesday the Lady Cannoneers faced Tompkins Cortland Community College in their home opener which was held at the Watertown Fairgrounds.  Annette Rishe, Potsdam, NY, scored unassisted in the 11th minute, while Casey Webb, Chaumont, NY, scored a goal, assisted by Skylar Short, Watertown, NY, in the 32nd minute of the game.  TC3 scored 3 goals of their own beating JCC 3-2.  Katie Aldrich had 10 saves in goal.

On Saturday the women's soccer team traveled to Erie to take on the Lady Kats.  Casey Webb scored again for Jefferson, assisted by Bryanna Gagnon.  That would be the only goal scored of the game, bringing the Lady Cannoneers to a 1-0 win over the Kats.  Katie Aldrich has 10 saves in this game as well.
