Jefferson Women's and Men's Soccer Defeat Niagara
The Women's and Men's Soccer teams at least got one game in this weekend, while the other that was supposed to be played on Sunday against Jamestown was cancelled due to the snowy conditions that plaqued the Jamestown area this past weekend.
On Saturday Niagara played host to the Cannoneers. In the first game the Lady Cannoneers came away with a 7-0 win. Bryanna Gagnon scored her first hat trick of the season, all of which were unassisted and she had 2 assists. Also scoring for Jefferson was Taylor Andrews and Kerstin Phelps. Katie Aldrich contributed 2 goals for JCC.
In the second game Men's Soccer also came a way with the win. The Cannoneers beat the Niagara County Thunderwolves 1-0. Thomas Leech scored off an assist from Matthew Guyette. Hayden Petersen had a 3 save shut-out for JCC.
After their games on Saturday, the teams decided to do some team bonding while visiting the Niagara Falls.
Come on out and support the Cannoneers on Wednesday as they will have their last home games of the season and will have their Pink Out Night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So Wear Your PINK!! The women will play at 5:00 pm and the men will play at 7:00 pm down at the Watertown Fairgrounds.
