Bismarck Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY— Freshman forward, Owen R. Bismarck, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) hockey team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending January 26, 2025. 

Owen, a 2024 graduate of Thousand Islands High School, is majoring in Applied Business Studies at Jefferson. Bismarck has come up big in his last two games for the Cannoneers. Owen scored a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, on Sophomore night against LeMoyne College, which saw the team earn a hard-fought 4-2 victory. Owen followed that up this past weekend with two goals and an assist on the game-winning goal by Jack Mills vs Cornell University. Owen is tied with teammate Kyle Gionet with 39 points, 1 point ahead of Captain Cam Winebar who has 38.  Owen sits among the top five-point scorers in the country and is first among freshmen in AAU Hockey.
