Celar Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY— Sophomore outfielder, Anthony Celar, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending March 30, 2025. 

Celar, a 2022 graduate of St. Jean De Brebeuf CHS, Ontario, Canada is majoring in Sports Management at Jefferson.  In the Cannoneers' 4-game week, Anthony provided a lot of production at the plate. Celar batted .538 with 5 RBI and 2 doubles. His hits came in the most clutch moments, batting .571 with runners in scoring position and had an outstanding OPS with 1.264. Anthony is consistently one of the best hitters, doing so from the 3-spot in the lineup.
