Rivera Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY— Sophomore forward, Brian Rivera, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) men’s basketball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending November 10, 2024.  

Brian, a 2023 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, Shenandoah, PA is majoring in Criminal Justice at Jefferson.  This past weekend Rivera averaged 23 points per game and led the Cannoneers to a come from behind win against Holyoke.  Brian recorded a double/double in the Holyoke game with 37 points and 10 rebounds.  He also nailed 7 3-pointers and shot 65% from the field for the game.  Brian will be called upon to lead the team this year and we look forward to many more productive games from him this season.
