Bio

Barbara Sinsheimer, MS, LAT, ATC, is originally from Sayre, PA, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University (BS 1986) and West Chester University (MS 1989).  While completing her MS degree, she served as graduate assistant athletic trainer for the university’s JV football team, women’s basketball, field hockey and baseball teams.  After graduate school, Barbara initiated athletic training programs at Penn State’s Delaware County campus in Media, PA, and at Middle Township High School in Cape May Courthouse, NJ, where she spent 12 years. In 1996, she served as a volunteer athletic trainer for the Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA and in 1998, served as a volunteer athletic trainer at the U. S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. 

Barbara has also worked for Carolina Sportscare in Beaufort, SC, where she was hired as the first athletic trainer at the University of South Carolina at Beaufort, and for Guthrie Sports Medicine, in Sayre, PA.  She has two daughters, Naomi (26) in Savannah, GA and Mary (23) in Athens, Ga.  Barbara enjoys paddleboarding with her dog, Gus, skiing and fishing. She lives in Sackets Harbor and looks forward to working with the athletic department at Jefferson Community College.
