The Jefferson Men's Lacrosse team finished off their season with an impressive 24-2 win at Mohawk Valley Community College on Wednesday. The Cannoneers took the lead early, jumping out 7-0 at the end of the first and 15-0 at halftime. Ten players scored for the 'neers, including a seven-goal performance from freshman Lawson Wise and a five-goal, eight-assist day for team captain Jack Rathbun. Carson Barrett made five saves in his goalie debut, in for an injured Isaac Quonce. Noah Price led JCC on the defensive end, tallying four caused turnovers, ten groundballs, and two goals from his LSM position. The Men's Lacrosse team finishes the season 5-5 in its first season back on the field in five years. As a team, Jefferson finished 4th in the region and 8th in the nation in both goals allowed per game (9.2) and goals scored per game (12.9), respectively. Attackman Jack Rathbun finishes the season ranked 2nd in the nation in points per game (60 points – 31 goals and 29 assists), while Attackman Lawson Wise finished 5th in the nation in goals per game (41 points - 34 goals and 7 assists).
