North Country
After two challenging defeats the women's soccer team got things back on track with a dominant 2-0 win over North Country. Lily Lottie opened the scoring in the first half and Malena Stevenson slammed the door shut on North Country with a second half goal. Keely Cooney and her back 4 earned a deserved shutout.
Genesee
The Cannoneers earned a hard fought draw after going down 2-1 late in the first half and starting the second half with an injury to captain Malena Stevenson. Samantha Stokely had yet another outstanding performance scoring off of Lily Lottie and Emily Bombard assists. Keely Cooney had 27 saves to keep the score even and get the Cannoneers their conference draw.
Tompkins Cortland
A sophomore night to remember as the Cannoneers dominated their way to an 8-1 well earned team vicotry. In particular Sophomore Emily Bombard shone brightest, taking over the midfield for injured Malena Stevenson and contributing 4 assists and 2 goals. Sophomore Ninette Fults contributed an excellent goal and assist, Lily Gaede contributed an assist, and Keely Cooney made 6 saves in goal. The Cannoneers look forward to Finger Lakes on Thursday.
