Jefferson Volleyball Results From Cayuga Pod.

In the Cayuga Community College Pod the Lady Cannoneers faced a very tough weekend and came out 1-2.  They first defeated #1 ranked Niagra CC in four sets, giving them their only loss in POD play!! The team then fell in four sets to #2 Jamestown and 3 sets to #6 Erie.  Francesca Barajas had an outstanding weekend racking up 19 service points, 43 digs and 14 kills.  She brought a huge spark to both our offense and defense when we needed it.  Lahni Duffer chipped in 81 assists and 19 service points while Katie Peters had 21 service points and 29 digs.  Our middles were once again dominate at the net, Ashley Capone had 10 blocks and 25 kills while Hannah McGregor had 7 blocks and 20 kills.

The girls have their sights set on staying undefeated in MSAC with their last match tomorrow night at home against Tompkins Cortland.  The team is working hard to prepare for the conference tournament this Saturday at home as well, winning the tournament would be a HUGE accomplishment for the girls, the last time Jefferson won was 2006.
