Jefferson Volleyball Victorious!

The Lady Cannoneers traveled to Finger Lakes Community College last night to sweat out a long 5 set match, but came home with a victory! Jefferson won 25-15, 25-23, 20-25, 25-27, 15-13.  The team got off to a fast start but the scrappy play of Finger Lakes proved to be too much in the third and fourth set.  Once again Ashley Capone led the way with 9 service points, 21 kills, 6 blocks, and 12 digs.  Shelby Contryman compiled 18 service points and 42 assists while Haley Riley added 17 service points, 16 kills and 19 digs.  The team worked together to come out on top of a 2 hour 39 minute match.  After losing a close 5 game match to Corning on Sunday, the girls were determined not to let that happen again.  The team travels to Onondaga Community College on Saturday for POD play against Tompkins-Cortland, SUNY Delhi, and Broome.
