The Lady Cannoneers Finish 2-1 On Saturday

On Saturday,  the Lady Cannoneers traveled to Cayuga Community College for Regional play and ended the day 2-1.  The first win was against Columbia Greene Community College who had to forfeit their matches for the day.  The second win came against Hudson Valley Community College in three sets:  25-10, 25-10, 25-11.  Jefferson was defeated in 5 by SUNY Adirondack:  25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 19-25, 11-15.  Once again Ashley Capone led the way with 5 service points, 33 kills, 6 blocks, and 5 digs.  Haley Riley joined her in the middle by adding 21 service points, 20 kills, 4 blocks, and 27 digs.  Haley Zicari added 17 digs and 19 service points for a steady performance on the day.  Shelby Contryman compiled 22 service points, 66 assists and 10 digs while Kierstin Burke contributed 13 digs, 13 service points, and 10 kills.  Stephanie Ennist had 13 digs and 4 kills while Keysha De Jesus Ortiz added 8 digs.  Nikki Wormwood finished with 14 service points and 12 digs. 

The girls play at home this Wednesday, October 9th against Cayuga at 6:00.  It is a "dig pink" game in support of the fight against Breast Cancer.  Come out and support the team!
