The Lady Cannoneers Take Down #1 Ranked Jamestown!

The Lady Cannoneers had a very successful weekend, including defeating #1 Jamestown!  Saturday started off with a victory over Erie in 3 sets:  26-24, 25-5, 25-17.  Then, JCC defeated Jamestown in 4 sets:  17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22 but fell to Niagara in a 5 set battle:  22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 28-26, 12-15.  Ashley Capone and Haley Riley led the way on offense.  Ashley racked up 50 kills, 20 service points, and 11 blocks.  Haley added 16 blocks, 29 service points, and 32 kills.  Shelby Contryman compiled 96 assists and 30 service points.  Kierstin Burke added 20 kills and 13 digs, while Stephanie Ennist ended the day with 16 service points.  Haley Zicari added 13 service points, Nikki Wormwood had 13 digs and Keysha De Jesus Ortiz added 10 service points.  Defeating Jamestown gave the team a huge boost in confidence as they head in to the conference tournament this Saturday.  JCC is scheduled to play OCC at noon in Corning.
