Jefferson Places 2nd in MSAC Conference Touranament!

Jefferson places 2nd at MSAC Conference Tournament!  The lady Cannoneers defeated #3 Onondaga in 5 sets in the semifinals:  25-22, 25-21, 22-25, 24-26, 15-12, and then fell to Finger Lakes in 3 sets:  19-25, 22-25, 19-25.  The team has worked very hard to get to this point, and following up last year's championship with a 2nd place finish is very admirable.  Co-captains Ashley Capone and Shelby Contryman led the way once again.  Ashley compiled 11 service points, 28 kills, 11, blocks, and 10 digs while Shelby added 10 service points and 66 assists.  Haley Riley contributed 14 service points, 25 kills, 10 blocks, 13 digs while Kierstin Burke added 13 kills, 14 service points, and 7 digs.  Stephanie Ennist had a very solid day adding 15 service points, 11 kills, and 8 digs while Keysha De Jesus Ortiz and Haley Zicari both had 4 service points and 5 digs.  Nikki Wormwood finished with 6 service points and 8 digs.   The team has a very crucial match on Tuesday, Octobober 29th against Onondaga again, the winner advances to Regional play this weekend.  It is at 6:00 at JCC, so come out and support the girls!
