Jefferson Volleyball Have Another Successful Road Trip!

The Lady Cannoneers had another successful weekend coming home 2-1 from Onondaga POD play.  Jefferson defeated Mohawk Valley Community College: 25-11, 25-15, 25-17 and Herkimer County Community College: 25-14, 25-14, 25-16.  The team fell to Undefeated Fulton-Montgomery Community College:  21-25, 19-25, and 20-25.  Once again captain Haley Riley, Lowville, NY,  came up big with 31 kills, 33 digs, and 33 service points.  Marissa Brown, Constableville, NY, added 12 kills and Grace Wallace, Redfield, NY, had 11 kills.  Jayne Strigle, Constableville, NY,  led the defense with 53 digs, Mel Fakatou, Laie, Hawaii, added 20 digs and both Miquella Farris, Redwood, NY, and Kelly Musgraves, North Pole, Alaska, racked up 17 digs.

The team is currently ranked 6th in the region and will travel to Hudson Valley this weekend to face SUNY Adirondack, Columbia Greene Community College and Hudson Valley Community College in regional play.
