Jefferson Volleyball Sophomores Recognized

The Lady Cannoneers played their final conference match last night against TC3 and won in three sets:  25-7, 25-9, and 25-20.  The five sophomores were honored, the ladies dressed in pink, and t-shirts were sold to help raise money in the fight against breast cancer.  Haley Riley, Jenna Hibbard, Nikki Wormwood, Rachael Waite, and Samantha Storey were called to center court with their parents to be recognized before the match began. 

The team quickly went to business after and Haley Riley compiled 10 kills, 5 blocks and 8 service points to lead the way.  Jayne Strigle and Rachael Waite added 10 digs each and Jenna Hibbard finished with 21 assists.  Samantha Storey and Miquella Farris added 8 service points while Nikki Wormwood finished with 10 service points.

The team will play at home this Saturday for the final three matches in regional play starting at 10:00 against Erie, come on out and support the girls!
