Jefferson Volleyball Finished Their Regular Season

Jefferson finished their regular season at home with tough regional play on Saturday against Erie, Jamestown, and Niagara.  The team started out strong against Erie going up 19-1 in set 1 and never looking back.  They finished Erie off in three:  25-5, 25-12 and 25-14.  Next they faced #3 ranked Jamestown and lost a tough match in 5 sets:  27-29, 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, and 11-15.  Finally they faced #5 ranked Niagara and lost in four sets:  22-25, 18-25, 25-15, and 15-25.  Once again captain Haley Riley led the way with 11 service points, 41 kills, 15 blocks, and 24 digs.  Jayne Strigle led the defensive charge with 42 digs while Kelly Musgraves and Rachael Waite both added 26 digs respectively. Grace Wallace had a big day adding 34 service points, 14 kills, and 16 digs.  Jenna Hibbard finished the day with 22 digs and 62 assists while Marissa Brown added 13 kills and 5 blocks. Olivia Heiler contributed 22 assists and 6 service points.   Nikki Wormwood was very effective serving with 26 service points, Mel Fakatou had 13, Samantha Storey added 7, and Miquella Farris finished with 5 service points.

The team will travel to OCC this Saturday to face OCC in the semi-final round of the Mid State Athletic Conference Finals.
