The Lady Cannoneers Fall to the Lady Red Barons in the MSAC Finals

The Lady Cannoneers defeated #2 seed Broome in the semi-finals of the MSAC Tournament in three sets but then fell short to Corning in the finals.  Jefferson finished off Broome 25-22, 25-21, and 25-17 and advanced to the finals where they fell to Corning 16-25, 16-25, and 23-25.  Cassie Birth, Chloe Stinebrickner, and Jenna Scott were named to the MSAC All-Conference Team.  Cassie finished the day with 22 kills, Chloe racked up 50 assists, and Jenna finished with 21 digs.  Alea Gentles had a big day at the net with 22 kills and 3 blocks, while Grace Wallace came out with a serious ankle injury in set 2 during the finals but finished the day with 7 kills and 14 digs.  Olivia Heiler rejoined the team after being out for 4 weeks and added 22 service points, Miquella Farris finished with 12 digs, and Kaety Hanlin added 8 digs.  In the past 4 seasons Jefferson has been MSAC Champions twice and now Runners-Up twice, certainly a record to be proud of.  Congratulations to Cassie, Chloe, and Jenna!  The 3rd ranked Cannoneers travel to Niagara on Friday for Regional play on Saturday.
