The Lady Cannoneers added 3 more wins to their record this weekend by defeating Monroe, Genesee, and Finger Lakes on Saturday. The 4-0 week, including a win over Onondaga Community College on Wednesday, helped to move JCC into 2nd place Regionally at 6-1 and 13-1 overall. First up Jefferson defeated Monroe: 25-19, 25-17, and 25-16, then Genesee: 25-18, 25-15, and 25-17, and finally JCC defeated Finger Lakes in 3 sets as well: 25-14, 25-18, and 25-18. Chloe Stinebrickner had a solid weekend with 94 assists, 26 digs, and 31 service points. Cassie Birth lead the way offensively compiling 35 kills, 71 digs, and 22 service points. Outside Hitter Xanara Ruiz had a strong day as well with 19 service points, 28 kills, and 35 digs. Alea Gentles finished with 27 kills and 6 blocks, while Jenna Scott lead the defense with 42 digs. Hannah Rook chipped in 7 blocks and 8 kills while Meaghan LaClair ended the day with 12 digs. Paige Durdon had a solid solid day adding 12 digs and 10 service points and Mariah Corbett added 5 digs and 6 service points.
Jefferson will take on Broome at home this Wednesday at 6:00 in a conference match. The Lady Cannoneers are 3-0 in the conference and look to remain undefeated at home this season. Come on out and support the team!
