The Lady Cannoneers still Undefeated in Conference

The Lady Cannoneers traveled to Cayuga on Wednesday, October 5th for a MSAC Conference match and came home victorious in three sets:  25-9, 25-7, and 25-9.  This puts the team at 5-0 in the conference with one match left to play this Wednesday, October 12th at home against TC3.  Over the weekend the team traveled to Onondaga Community College for the Cara Bryant Invitational Tournament and finished 3-3.  First up was #10 Nationally ranked Northampton, JCC lost in 3 hard fought sets:  25-20, 24-26, and 5-15, the team also played Genesee on Friday night and lost in two sets:  23-25 and 21-25.  Jefferson looked to even the score on Saturday and regrouped first by beating Broome in three sets:  25-19, 21-25, and 15-11, next they defeated Cayuga in two sets:  25-16 and 25-10.  This placed Jefferson in fourth place going into playoffs which meant they would face #5 Genesee.  JCC quickly went to work and defeated them in two sets 25-12 and 25-20.  Jefferson then advanced to play Monroe in the semi-finals and lost in three sets:  24-26, 25-19, and 16-18.  Coming home 3-3 was not what the ladies planned on for the weekend but will look to regroup for their last weekend of regional play at OCC against Jamestown, Erie, and Niagara.  This takes the team to 23-5 overall.  Come on out and support the team against TC3 as they look to remain undefeated in the conference and host the tournament on October 22nd.
