Jefferson Volleyball Ready to Host MSAC Tournament

The Lady Cannoneers had their last weekend of regional play and finished 2-1, thus putting Jefferson in 3rd place going into Regionals on November 2nd.  Over the weekend the team fell short to Jamestown in four sets (25-21, 21-25, 10-25, 25-27), beat Niagara in three sets (25-16, 26-24, 25-10), and defeated Erie in four sets (23-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-19).  Allison Burrows had a steady weekend compiling 23 kills, 39 digs, and 29 service points.  Marjorie Vazquez was solid with 48 kills, 25 digs, and 10 blocks.  Kelsey Finster finished with 107 assists, Jenna Wilson added 34 digs, Alyssa Evans chipped in 12 kills, Grace Gehrke racked up 10 kills, and Brooke Everson had 25 kills.  Aliza Deasy finished with 4 kills, Nicole O'Connor added 5 digs, Savanna Baker finished with 11 service points, and Abby Sullivan added 4 service points.  The team will host the Mid-State Athletic Conference Tournament on Sunday, October 27th starting at Noon.  JCC will play Corning in the semi-finals and Broome and Finger Lakes will battle it out in the other semi-final match.  Then, the winning teams will face off in the finals immediately after.  Come on out and support the team, this will be your last opportunity to watch them at home!

Court 2 #2 – Finger Lakes CC vs. #3 – Broome CC 

Warm-up time – 29 minutes (10 shared/4/4/5/5) – to begin at 11:20 am

Finals @ 2pm TBD


At the conclusion of the semi-finals, we will transition to the main court for the finals. Once the court is established, we will proceed with a 19-minute warm-up, followed by player introductions and national anthem.
