The Lady Cannoneers swept the competition this past weekend, showcasing their dominance with impressive victories. On Saturday, they shut out SUNY Broome 3-0 and took down Corning 3-1. They finished the regular season on Sunday with another 3-1 win over Corning, marking a celebratory Sophomore Day.
The team ended the regular season with an outstanding 15-4 record. Leading the pack in kills were Abby Raven with 38, Noelle Redeye with 33, and Madison Bigelow with 20. Notably, Madison served 14 straight points against SUNY Broome, giving us a phenomenal 14-0 lead in the first set. Service aces were topped by Abby Raven with 15 and Madison Bigelow with 12. Assist leaders were Veda Howell with 62 and Madallyn Moore with 41. Makayla Rocha led with 27 digs, while Abby Raven also tallied 8 blocks.
The #2 Lady Cannoneers will travel to Finger Lakes on Saturday, October 26th and will face #3 Genesee at 11:00 am in the MSAC Championship tournament. The winner of that match will face the winner of #1 Finger Lakes and #4 Onondaga in the Championship Match at 2:00 pm. The Matches will be the best of 5.
