The Lady Cannoneers Come Home With a Huge Win Against #3 Nationally Ranked Sullivan County

Saturday Vs. Sullivan County Community College:

This past Saturday The Jefferson women's basketball team traveled to Columbia Greene Community C ollege to face off in a neutral court match up with the #3 nationally ranked Sullivan Generals. The Lady Cannoneers looked to control the pace of the game by pushing the ball up and down for 40 minutes. At the end of the first half both team were tied at 34, as both teams seemed to be feeling the unfamiliar opponent out. The second half saw The Lady Cannoneers control the tempo and the half at a comfortable pace. Amanda Roberts led the attack notching 24 points, and shooting 15-16 from the free throw line, Alyssa Crosby also contributed 19 points! 

Sunday vs SUNY Delhi:

For the second leg of the weekend The Lady Cannoneers traveled to SUNY Delhi to face off in a Region III contest. Playing two games in two days is always a difficult feat, but the Lady Cannoneers came out and established in 12-2 lead in a quick two minutes. Dominating the ball and controlling the speed of the game was the main goal for Jefferson. Jasmine Canady led all scorers with 20 points.
