The Lady Cannoneers Glide Past the Lady Lakers

On Saturday the Jefferson Women's Basketball Team traveled to Finger Lakes Community College to take on the Lady Lakers. The Lady Cannoneer's found themselves jumping out to a large lead early in the game for the second game in a row. Fighting off a triangle and two, and a Box and 1 defense for 40 minutes Jasmine Canady led the charge totaling 27 points, 9 steals, and 8 rebounds! The Lady Cannoneer's took a 43-31 lead into halftime. Finger Lakes put up a big fight in the early minutes of the second half cutting the Jefferson lead down to 3. But the Lady Cannonee'rs bounced back with a punch of their own extending their lead back to double digits. Kathleen Coloney and Alyssa Crosby dominated the paint tallying 16, and 15 points respectively. Amanda Roberts chipped in 11 points on the day. With a road win the Lady Cannoneer's are now 9-0 on the road, and 15-3 overall! They will travel to Auburn on Wednesday to face the Cayuga Lady Spartans.
