The Lady Cannoneers Win Tough Battle at Broome

On Saturday The Lady Cannoneers traveled to Binghamton to take on the Broome Lady Hornets. In their first match up of the year in MSAC play Broome gave Jefferson all they could handle. The Lady Cannoneers pulled away behind two late free throws from Riley Luckie winning 54-49. Riley Luckie led the way with 16 points and 5 assists, while sophomore captain Courtney Harrington chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. In the last week The Lady Cannoneers have been fighting through a scoring drought, but haven't had an opponent score more than 49 points in any game. Their next match up this Wednesday will be on the road at Tompkins Cortland CC at 7 pm.
