Sophomore Night Amy Holland and Breanna Cullers 02/20/18

Jefferson Women's Basketball Sophomore Night

Last night Jefferson Women's Basketball Players Sophomores Breanna Cullers and Amy Holland were recognized for their hard work and dedication to the program and to Jefferson Community College.

#11 Breanna Cullers:

Breanna has been a pleasant surprise to the Jefferson Women's Basketball program over the last two years. A California transplant in Northern New York, Bre has brought an exceptional attitude and unmatched work ethic to our basketball program. She is as diligent a worker as we have had in our program, and a true student of the game. She registered a career high in points this year with 32 points verses Fulton Montgomery and 3 point field goals on 3 occasions with 4 made field goals against Fulton Montgomery, Tompkins Cortland, and  SUNY Broome.  Bre's contribution to our program has been invaluable, she has mentored our freshman with great positivity and solidified herself as one of the best teammates any of us could ask for. She will continue her education next fall at SUNY Canton, and continue her basketball career on the hardwood. We wish you the best, and thank you for all that you've done!

#21 Amy Holland:

Amy came to Jefferson after a standout high school career at Mexico High School. Throughout the recruiting process it was pretty evident what type of player we were going to get in her time here at Jefferson. A fierce, smart, and unwavering competitor; in her time at Jefferson Amy has been asked to do almost everything a player could be asked to do. She has played every position on the floor, guarded everyone from point guards to post players, attacked the rim and shot the basketball with consistency night in and night out.  A true testament to Amy's character is the pride and tenacity she has brought to our team in rebounding the basketball this year. At just 5 feet 3 inches tall Amy is currently averaging 7.5 rebounds per game, which places her in the top 15 rebounders in Region 3. Amy's leadership skills this year have helped establish a culture in our program that I hope our freshman can continue next year. Amy will continue her education next fall at Cazenovia, and will also continue her basketball career on the hardwood.
