Cannoneer Golf Gains Momentum

The Cannoneers traveled to Western NY last weekend and competed in the Jamestown Invitational and the Niagara Thunderwolves Invitational.  It was a good weekend for the Cannoneers as they showed marked improvement finishing 5th at Jamestown and shooting a season best at Niagara(as a team), finishing with a 319 team total, good for 3rd place..  Nate Heller continued his steady play, shooting a 79 at Jamestown, in rainy conditions and shooting a season best 74 at the Niagara Invitational, finishing tied for second in the tournament.  Dan O'Connell came up with one of his best rounds of the season, shooting a 78, and freshman Kacy Lennox had his best day of the season shooting an 81.  Kyle Gionet counted as the final scorer, shooting an 86. The Cannoneers host their home invitational on May 5th and hope to continue to build upon these showings as regionals are set for May 15/16 back in Western NY.
