Jefferson Golf Finishes 1st and 2nd at Jamestown and Niagara

The Cannoneer men's golf team traveled to Jamestown and played their best golf of the season.  The Cannoneers shot a stingy 311 as a team to take the invitational by 1 stroke over Niagara by a 311 to 312 score.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Jack Mills with a nice round of 76, followed by Kacy Lennox with a 77, Dalton Myers with a 78, and Luke Heller with an 80 for the 311 tally.  Nate Snow would also shoot a nice round of 84 on the day followed by Kyle Gionet with an 87, and Ben Wiley with a 94.  Malena Stevenson would play her best golf of the year as well and finish with a 98, good for first place.

The Cannoneers traveled to Niagara CCC on Saturday to play in the Niagara invitational.  The weather conditions were wet and sloppy which led to some high scores.  The Cannoneers would finish second on this day behind Niagara.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Kacy Lennox with an 82, Dalton Myers and Luke Heller with 84's, and Kyle Gionet rounding out the socre card for the Cannoneers with a 337 total.  Also scoring on Saturday were Jack Mills with an 88, followed by Nate Snow with a 92 and Ben Wiley with a 98.  Malena Stevenson would also take medalist honors on the female side with a 109.
