Jefferson Men's Soccer Began Their Season with a Split

The Cannoneers opened their season at home Wednesday night against the Tompkins Cortland Panthers.  TC3's Grant struck first with a goal at the 30 minute mark, but after that it was all Jefferson.  Eric Gibbs, Watertown, NY,  scored first for Jefferson assisted by Scott Dalby, Canungra Queenstand, Australia. Sophomore Matthew Guyette, Watertown, NY, scored at the 81 minute mark unassisted.   Brenden Jacobs, Copenhagen, NY, sealed the 3-1 win for JCC with a goal, assisted by Thomas Leech, Moama, Australia.  Trevor Hickok had 4 saves in goal.

On Saturday, Jefferson traveled to Erie Community College to take on the Erie Kats.  Even though JCC outshot their opponents 21-3 they still came up with a 1-0 loss.  Trevor Hickok had 3 saves.

The Cannoneers will travel to North Country tomorrow to play the Saints.
