The Jefferson Cannoneers put in a spirited performance against the Generals but had a historic result ripped away from them in the final minute of the match. Sophomore Jonny Lafontaine continued his excellent goal scoring form to break the deadlock and give the Cannoneers a 1-0 lead. Herkimer equalized just before the half, and just after the restart a set of red cards made for an interesting second half. The Generals would go on to score two more goals, extending their lead to 3-1 before the Cannoneers clawed their way back into the match with goals from Tom Ford and Brodie Finnie. It looked to be an incredible comeback but a lack of focus in the dying seconds of the match saw a deserved draw snatched away and a loss left in its place. The Cannoneers look to bounce back against Tompkins Cortlan on Wednesday.
