3/17/2025 Doubleheader vs Montgomery College
SUNY Jefferson won game 1 of the doubleheader vs Montgomery College by a score of 7-4. Layla Killino earned her first college win in the circle pitching a complete game, allowing 3 earned runs on 11 hits, striking out 6 and walking 1. Killino also contributed to the offense with 2 hits. Danielle Birmingham also had 2 hits. Brooke Matys drove in two runs with a triple and Brianna Hardwick homered to help lead the Cannoneers offense. In game two of the double header the Cannoneers won by a score of 8-3. Sydney Tanner pitched 5 innings scattering 4 hits and allowing 0 earned runs to gain her first win of the season. The Cannoneers were lead offensively by a single and a triple from Katie Call and 2 runs batted in by Brianna Hardwick.
3/20/2025 Doubleheader vs Howard Community College
In game 1, Howard would jump out to a 6-1 lead after 4 innings off JCC starting pitcher Layla Killino. The Cannoneers would rally for 9 runs over the final 3 frames to win the game 10-8 upping Killino's record to 2-0 on the season. Sophia VanHorn, Darian Palmer and Brianna Hardwick each had two hits for the Cannoneers. One of Hardwick's hits was a 3 run homerun. Lia Canell drove in 2 runs for Jefferson. In game two the Cannoneers would score 5 runs in the first 2 innings and hang on to win the game by a score of 5-3. Sydney Tanner pitched a complete game allowing 7 hits and 3 runs to earn her 2nd win of the season. Delaney Wiley paced the offensive attach for JCC going 4 for 4 in the game. Brianna Hardwick collected 2 more hits and Layla Killino and Brooke Matys would each supply triples for Jefferson.
3/21/2025 vs CCBC Catonsville
In game 1 the Cannoneers would suffer their first defeat of the season. After falling behind 8-3 after 3 innings, Jefferson would rally for 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning to knot the score at 5. Using the international tie breaker rule to begin the 8th Jefferson plated one run to take the lead. Catonsville would score 2 runs in their half of the frame to earn the victory. Sydney Tanner took the hard luck loss dropping her record to 2-1 on the season. Tanner was stellar in relief holding the Cardinals scoreless and allowing Jefferson to battle back. Offensively, the Cannoneers were lead by 3 hits including a triple and 3 runs scored by Delaney Wiley. Danielle Birmingham contributed 2 hit including a double and 3 runs batted in. Lia Canell and Darian Palmer also had two hits each.
In game 2 the Cannoneers would get back in the win column defeating the hosts 8-6 in a game shortened to 5 innings due to darkness. Layla Killino picked up her 3rd win of the season in the circle allowing 6 runs on 9 hits. Killino also contributed offensively going 2 for 3 with a double and 2 runs batted in. Brianna Hardwick continued her torrid pace going 3 for 3 with a double and 2 runs batted in. Danielle Birmingham doubled twice in the contest as the Cannoneers wrapped up their Spring Trip with a 5 and 1 record.
