Jefferson Baseball Falls to Onondaga in their First Games of the Season

In their first game of the 2024 season, the Cannoneers fought hard, but lost on a walk-off single in the 7th. JCC battled back by scoring 6 runs in the 6th and 3 more to tie it in the 7th, before dropping in the bottom of the 7th. Peter Gallagher lead JCC with 2 hits and 3 RBI, as Ashton Brea and Anthony Ortiz provided 2 hits and 2 RBI each. 7 Cannoneer batters collected at least 1 hit.

Game 2 of the season-opening double header saw the Cannoneers in a close game until OCC extended their lead late in the 6th inning. Peter Gallagher slugged the only Cannoneer runs on a long opposite field 2 run homerun, scoring Josh Matteson. Kaleb Peters delivered a double off the bench in the 6th inning.
