Battle of the Bats

Jefferson heads to Herkimer for a big two game series to start the week. Game 1 the Cannoneers strike first in the second inning off a bunt fielders choice from Kate Adams. Jefferson's offense would continue in the third with a 3 spot off RBIs from Kiannah Ward and Hailey McGrew. Unfortunately for Jefferson, walks would allow Herkimer back in the game as the Generals would score 4 in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game. Both offenses would light up the box scores for the rest of the game. 11 total runs between both teams came across to score in the 4th inning. Katie Call, Mackenzie Lane, Kate Adams, and Felicity Roberts would all record RBis in a 5 run 5th for the Cannoneers. Mackenzie Lane and Katie Call would each record 1 more RBI later in the game, as well as Emily Birmingham who hit a 2 run double in the 6th. However, Jefferson's 13 runs would not be enough in this game, as Herkimer's offense was too much in the offensive battle. Jefferson drops the game 18-13. 

Game 2 was suspended due to darkness after 3 innings where Jefferson led 14-7
