Butcher Named Region 3 and NJCAA Div III Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Jefferson Women's Basketball Sophomore LaKaiya Butcher for being named not only the Jefferson Athlete of the Week but also the Region 3 and NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week. LaKaiya's steller performance this past week is what led her to receiving these awards. She averaged 25.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in their wins over Genesee Community College and North Country Community College. In her game against the Lady Saints, she had a triple double with 21 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists. "LaKaiya's the definition of a leader—on and off the court."-Coach Wiley
