The #10 Ranked Lady Cannoneers hosted the Lady Red Barons from Corning for the first annual Coaches vs. Cancer "Suits and Sneakers" Event. Jefferson turned up the defense and raced to a 31-12 lead at the half and outscored the Red Barons in the 3rd quarter to take a 58-18 lead heading into the 4th quarter. The Cannoneers continued the defensive effort for the 80-31 win to improve to 8-0 and 11-4 overall. LaKaiya Butcher and Abby Raven led the Cannoneers with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Jayla O'Donnell scored 12 points on 6-9 shooting in 15 minutes.
The Cannoneers traveled to Johnston to take on the Fulton Montgomery Raiders in a Region 3 Matchup. Jefferson used a 22-6 second quarter run to take a 38-18 lead at the half. The Raiders outscored the Cannoneers in the 3rd quarter, before the cannoneers went on an 18 4 run in the 4th to cruise to a 71-40 road win. The Cannoneers moved to 12-4 over all and 11-0 Region 3 record. LaKaiya Butcher led the Cannoneers with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Abby Raven (12 points 12 rebounds), Kori Nichols (12 points) and Delaney Wiley (10 Points) all scored in double figures.
