The Jefferson Women's Basketball came away with a 20 point win over #7 Community College of Rhode Island in the first round of the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship. Sophomore leaders LaKaiya Butcher and Kori Nichols led the Lady Cannoneers, each with 20 points. Lily Dupee and Abby Raven also contributed 10 points for Jefferson. With this win they move on to the next round facing #2 Hostos Community College today at 4:00 pm (ct)/5:00 pm (est). The winner of this round will move on to the Semi-Final Round and will play the winner of Onondaga and Minnesota West.
