Cannoneers Cruise at Highlander Invitational

HOUGHTON, NY - The Cannoneer harriers continued to cruise at the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton College on Saturday. The meet included fifteen teams and 151 runners competing over the 8K course. Sophomore Jack Natali led the Cannoneers again with another 85th overall place finish. He covered the course in a time of 29:03.1.  While not Natali's fastest time for the 8K distance, it's still the second fastest time in the history of Cannoneers. Fellow sophomore Charles Rogers covered the distance in a personal best time of 31:12.8. In addition to Rogers notching a personal best for the 8K distance, he also covered the 5K distance in a personal best of 19:14.  "Both Jack and Charles are progressing nicely, but have much room for improvement," said Coach Ummer. "This was a good tune up for the conference championship two weeks from now ."

The Cannoneers return to action on Saturday October 21st when they travel to SUNY Corning to the MSAC Championships. The men's start time is TBA.
