Cannoneers Take Down the Lakers

The Cannoneers hosted Finger Lakes in a Mid-State conference game and came away with a thrilling 82-81 win.  The game was close at halftime with the Cannoneers leading 35-3.  The Cannoneers would open up a double-digit lead only to see that evaporate in the closing minutes of the game.  The Lakers tied the game with 8 seconds to go and Jaydon Koiner would go the length of the court and get fouled on a 3-point attempt with .3 seconds left on the game clock.  Jaydon with then step to the free throw line for 3 shots, missing the first 2, then calmy sinking the 3rd free throw for the win.  It was balanced attack that got the Cannoneers the win with Owen Coall leading the way with 20 points, followed by Brian Rivera with 17 points, 11 rebounds.  Also chipping in were Cameron Ruiz with 12 points and Jaydon Koner with 11 points.  Devon Green would have a solid game with 9 assists in the winning effort.
