Jefferson Women's Basketball jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter against the Genesee Lady Cougars. From there the Lady Cannoneers never looked back, defeating Genesee 97-27. Kori Nichols (General Brown) led all scorers with 26 points, while Abby Raven (Ogdensburg) recorded her first double double of her college career with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Also contributing to the win were LaKaiya Butcher (Massaponax, VA) with 16 points, Daelynn Alcock (Indian River) and Delaney Wiley (Thousand Islands) with 12/11 points respectively. Bridget Watson (Alexandria Bay) pulled down 15 rebounds, leading both teams.
The Lady Cannoneers will face the Lady Red Barons of Corning Community College on Saturday at Corning. Tip off will be at 1:00 pm
