Cannoneers Gain First Victory of the Year

The Cannoneers played inspired basketball on Sunday afternoon against a talented Hudson Valley team and came away with their first victory of the season by the score of 84-75.  The first half would end all even at 32 and the Cannoneers would gradually pull away in the second half as they would shoot very well from behind the 3 point arc and make 21-27 free throws to secure the victory.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Jameir Sudler with a game high 26 points and timely free throw shooting.  Quincy Aubertine would also add 20 points in the winning effort.  Christian Rohlehr would continue his steady play, despite being hampered with foul trouble most of the day, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds in  limited action.  The Cannoneers moved to 1-1 in Region III play and travel to Mohawk Valley for a tough match up with the Hawks on Wednesday night.
