On Saturday the Cannoneers gave a valiant effort on Saturday against #7 nationally ranked Herkimer only to fall by the score of 81-73.  The Cannoneers would trail by 10 at halftime and cut the deficit to 4 in the waning minutes of the game, only to fall by the final margin of 8 points.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Machi Plummer with 17 points, Kristan Lewis with 14 points, and Dmair Williams with 12 points.  Jaylin Maysonet would also have a solid game with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the Cannoneers.

On Sunday the Cannoneers hosted another nationally ranked team on Sunday, the #14 Mohawk Valley Hawks, and came away with another hard-fought loss.  The Cannoneers were tied at halftime with Hawks, only to see the efforts go by the wayside in the second half and end up on the short end of a 77-67 loss.  The Hawks would make some timely 3's and the Cannoneer's legs were just not there on their shots as Mohawk would outscore the Cannoneers by 10 in the second half for the win.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Tajshaun Ferrell with 15 points and Mo Ndiaye with 11 points.  Also chipping in with a solid effort was Dmair Williams with 6 points/8 rebounds and PJ Asare with 8 points/3 rebounds in the tough loss.  The Cannoneers will now break for the semester and resume play at home on January 17th against Corning.
