The Cannoneers Fall to the Red Barons

The Cannoneers were seeking back-to-back road wins to start the season, only to run into a hungry Corning Red Baron team.  Both teams were stingy on defense to start the game, as Corning would lead after 10 minutes 12-8.  The Red Barons would start to find a rhythm at this point and hit some 3 pointers to lead by the score of 33-24 at half.  It was cold shooting day for the Cannoneers as they couldn't get anything going until the final 5 minutes of the game and would get to within 2 points, but never get over the edge in a tough 77-70 loss to the Red Barons.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Shamell Ponds with 19 points and 4 steals, followed by Tajshaun Ferrell with 12 points and Muhamadul Ndiaye with 9 points and Babekir ElShiekh with 9 points as well.  The Cannoneers have a week off before playing OCC on the weekend for their next game.
